My name is Sander Orav, and I'm from Harjumaa, Estonia. I'm currently 24 years old, and I'm
studying to become an IT systems specialist in the Tartu Vocational College.
I was interested in computers already as a child when I used to play computer games, surf the internet,
and just explore the computer out of curiosity. As a teenager, I became interested in how
everything works. I became interested in creating webpages and programming. I remember that in the
age of 14 or 15, I even had a period when I would constantly create and design webpages and also
write programs to a lesser extent.
In 2023, I suddenly found out about the Tartu Vocational College with its IT majors. Without hesitation,
I applied for the IT systems specialist's major and also the software developer's major, as they
both include secondary education, which I definitely want to get. I completed the entrance exam
successfully, and I was accepted to the IT systems specialist's major where I am studying today.
My main goal, of course, is to successfully finish the IT academy and to find a good and well-paying
job on my profession. To achieve this goal, I always attend the classes and work hard in order to get
all the things done on time. I do my homeworks as soon as possible. My main resource is the internet -
you can find answers to basically anything from there.
In addition to my profession, I like to study languages, play the guitar, and do sports in my free time.
I often go to gym and walk a lot so that constant sitting at the computer wouldn't
affect my health.
My strong sides are my sense of duty, logical thinking, and knowledge of languages: in addition to
Estonian, I speak English and Russian fluently, and I also know some Swedish, German, and Spanish.
